Editing Award for Esperanza's Turn

Back in February, Esperanza’s Turn screened at the Indie Film Fest in Phoenix, Arizona. I couldn’t attend the showing, but the director did. The film won an award for Best Editing! No physical awards, so this screen shot will just have to do.

After the Indie Film Fest, Esperanza’s Turn returned home to screen in Oregon at the McMinnville Short Film Festival. The film was nominated for Best Oregon director along with another short film I edited called Interconnections: Everything is Connected. With two films at the festival, I set off to local wine country for the weekend to watch movies, drink wine, and enjoy the region. Neither film took away the prize, but I did get to meet a few other talented filmmakers and see work from old colleagues.
