Esperanza's Turn is hitting the road!
Esperanza’s Turn, a short film by Melissa Gregory Rue, will premiere this weekend (Jan 31st) at the International Peace & Film Festival in Orlando Florida. I had so much fun editing this short narrative with all its (spoiler alert!) dance sequences and I can’t wait to share my favorite one here on this website.
A 12-year-old immigrant farm worker taps into her imagination to confront a bully at school.
Introducing Niku Edlund-Farsad as Esperanza (debut). Also starring Nelda Reyes, Tom Avila, Maxwell Sivers-Boyce (also his first film), Michael Galen, Laura Onizuka, and Roberto Astorga.
